    Avondale Water Board
    To supply water for irrigation purposes to landholders in the Board's area.
    Babinda Swamp Drainage Board
    To provide a co-ordinated drainage system for the removal and disposal of excess water from agricultural lands.
    Bollon South Water Authority
    To supply artesian water for stock irrigation, watering and domestic purposes to landholders in the Board's area.
    Bollon West Water Authority
    To supply artesian water for stock irrigation watering and domestic purposes to landholder's in the Board's area.
    Bones Knob Water Board
    To supply water for stock watering and domestic purposes to landholders in the Board's area.
    Burdekin Shire Rivers Improvement Trust
    The function of the trust is to carry out works designed to improve the flow of water in the rivers and tributaries within Part of the Shire of Burdekin to correct erosion and provide flood mitigation.
    Cairns River Improvement Trust
    The function of the trust is to carry out works designed to improve the flow of water in the rivers and tributaries within the City of Cairns to correct erosion and provide flood mitigation.
    Cassowary Coast River Improvement Trust
    The function of the trust is to carry out works designed to improve the flow of water in the rivers and tributaries within the Shire of Cassowary Coast to correct erosion and provide flood mitigation.
    Councillor Conduct Tribunal
    The Tribunal is established under section 150DK of the Local Government Act 2009. Its functions are: • conducts hearings of applications made by the independent assessor and deciding what action the tribunal will take under section 150AR of the Act to discipline the councillor • any other function related to functions given to the Tribunal under the Act as directed in writing by the Minister. Membership The Tribunal comprises a president and a pool of casual members. Tribunal members must have extensive knowledge of, and experience in any of the following: local government, investigations, law, public administration or public sector ethics.
    Don River Improvement Trust
    The function of the trust is to carry out works designed to improve the flow of water in the rivers and tributaries within Part of the Shire of Bowen to correct erosion and provide flood mitigation.
    Dumaresq - Barwon Border Rivers Commission
    To implement the agreement between Queensland and New South Wales regarding sharing the waters of the Border rivers. To control of the construction, operation and maintenance of works taken over by it or constructed under the agreement.
    Eugun Bore Water Authority
    To conduct water activities decided by the Authority.
    Expenditure Advisory Committee for the Office of Groundwater Impact Assessment
    Advisory body to provide advice on the annual estimated costs associated with the Office of Groundwater Impact Assessment's underground water management functions.
    Fernlee Water Authority
    To supply water for stock watering and domestic purposes to landholders in the Board's area.
    Gladstone Area Water Board
    The main statutory functions of the Board are to: conserve, store and supply untreated and treated water in bulk to local governments and major consumers within the operational area; conserve, store and supply, with the approval of the Minister, untreated water in bulk to electricity generating authorities whether within the operational area or otherwise; take measures to protect the quantity and quality of present and future supplies of water; investigate and plan future headwork, treatment works and trunk mains; administer and manage property under its control.
    Glamorgan Vale Water Board
    To supply water for stock watering and domestic purposes to landholders in the Board's area.
    Herbert River Improvement Trust
    The function of the trust is to carry out works designed to improve the flow of water in the rivers and tributaries within the Shire of Hinchinbrook to correct erosion and provide flood mitigation.
    Independent Assessor
    The Independent Assessor assesses and if appropriate investigates and prosecutes complaints about councillor conduct and breaches of the conduct provisions under the Local Government Act 2009. The Independent Assessor also: •provides advice, training and information about dealing with alleged or suspected inappropriate conduct, misconduct or corrupt conduct to councillors, local government employees and the public. •prosecutes misconduct offences via the Councillor Conduct Tribunal.
    Ingie Water Authority
    To supply water for stock watering and domestic purposes to landholders in the authority's area.
    Ipswich Rivers Improvement Trust
    The function of the trust is to carry out works designed to improve the flow of water in the rivers and tributaries within the City of Ipswich to correct erosion and provide flood mitigation.
    Kaywanna Bore Water Board
    To supply water for stock watering and domestic purposes to landholders in the Board's area.
    Local Government Change Commission
    The Local Government Change Commission is established to assess whether a proposed local government change is in the public interest, e.g. a change to the boundaries of a local government area, the number of councillors for a local government, the name of a local government area. The Change Commission is made up of the Electoral Commissioner or any combination of the Electoral Commissioner, Deputy Electoral Commissioner, Casual Commissioners (appointed by the Governor in Council). The Electoral Commissioner can choose any or all of the Casual Commissioners to help assess a particular change proposal.
    Local Government Grants Commission
    To make recommendations to the Minister concerning the allocation of the Commonwealth Financial Assistance Grants to the Local Governing Bodies in Queensland.
    Local Government Remuneration Commission
    The Commission is established under section 176 of the Local Government Act 2009 to undertake functions relating to the remuneration of Local Government Councillors. The functions of the Commission, as stipulated by the Act (section 177) are: to establish the categories of Local Governments; to decide the category to which each Local Government belongs; to decide the maximum amount of remuneration payable to the Councillors in each of the categories; to consider and make recommendations to the Minister about matters relating to councillor advisors; and another function related to the remuneration of Councillors directed, in writing, by the Minister.
    Lower Burdekin Water
    To utilise water from the Burdekin River to replenish the subterranean water supplies of part of the Burdekin Delta and to increase the quantity and improve the quality of the supply available from this source for irrigation, domestic, stock and industrial purposes.
    Lower Herbert Water Management Authority
    To provide a coordinated drainage system for the removal and disposal of excess water from agricultural lands in the water authority's area.
    Ministerial Advisory Council for Flood Mitigation Manuals
    The key functions and responsibilities of the advisory council are, if referred to it by the Minister, to assess the compliance and adequacy of a flood mitigation manual against the requirements of the Water Supply (Safety and Reliability) Act 2008 and provide written advice to the Minister to consider when deciding whether to approve a manual.
    Mount Isa Water Board
    MIWB operates as a commercialised statutory authority to carry out its business activities which include: 1) acting as a registered Water Service Provider under the Water Supply (Safety and Reliability) Act 2008, 2) managing the infrastructure required to transport bulk water from storages at Lake Moondarra and Lake Julius to customers, and applying appropriate water treatment processes to comply with MIWB’s legislative and commercial requirements, 3) conducting ongoing investigations and planning for future infrastructure requirements relevant to MIWB operations, 4) constructing, operating and maintaining the bulk water transport and treatment infrastructure, necessary to MIWB operation, and 5) acting as trustee for the Water and Recreation R48 Reserve (R48 Reserve) on behalf of the Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy, as administrator of the Land Act 1994.
    Orchard Creek and East Euramo Drainage Board
    To provide a coordinated drainage system for the removal and disposal of excess water from agricultural lands.
    Queensland Great Artesian Basin Advisory Council
    Advise the Minister on issues affecting the Queensland Great Artesian Basin.
    Queensland Reconstruction Board
    The Queensland Reconstruction Authority manages and coordinates the Queensland Government's program of infrastructure renewal and recovery within disaster-affected communities, as well as the state's lead agency for disaster recovery, resilience and mitigation policy.
    Roadvale Water Board
    To supply water for stock watering and domestic purposes to landholders in the Board's area.
    Scenic Rim Rivers Improvement Trust
    The function of the trust is to carry out works designed to improve the flow of water in the rivers and tributaries within the Scenic Rim Regional Council area to correct erosion and provide flood mitigation.
    South Maroochy Drainage Board
    To provide a co-ordinated drainage system for the removal and disposal of excess water from agricultural lands.
    Stanthorpe Shire River Improvement Trust
    The function of the trust is to carry out works designed to improve the flow of water in the rivers and tributaries within the Shire of Stanthorpe to correct erosion and provide flood mitigation.
    Wambo Shire River Improvement Trust
    The function of the trust is to carry out works designed to improve the flow of water in the rivers and tributaries within the Shire of Wambo to correct erosion and provide flood mitigation.
    Warwick Shire River Improvement Trust
    The function of the trust is to carry out works designed to improve the flow of water in the rivers and tributaries within the Shire of Warwick to correct erosion and provide flood mitigation.
    Water Act Referral Panel
    The Water Act Referral Panel provides independent expert advice and recommendations to the Chief Executive on a range of water planning matters and to the Minister on moratorium matters, under Chapter 2 of the Water Act 2000 (Water Act).
    Whitsunday Rivers Improvement Trust
    The function of the trust is to carry out works designed to improve the flow of water in the rivers and tributaries within the Shire of Whitsunday to correct erosion and provide flood mitigation.
