It offers practical, industry-relevant training in over 500 qualifications from foundation skills and entry level qualifications to higher education degrees. The TAFE Queensland Board is established as the governing body of TAFE Queensland. The Board has the following functions for TAFE Queensland: (a) to ensure it operates in accordance with its with its operational plan and, as far as possible, achieves the performance targets and objectives stated in the plan; (b) to account to the minister for its performance as required under an Act; (c) to ensure it otherwise performs its functions in a proper and efficient way.
