    Body Description: Functions of the QCAA include to: develop and revise senior secondary syllabuses; develop and accredit kindergarten guidelines; provide resources and services to help teachers develop curriculum, teaching and learning programs, from kindergarten to Year 12; administer the National Assessment Program—Literacy and Numeracy tests (NAPLAN) in Queensland; develop, administer and mark external assessment for senior subjects for eligible Year 12 students; determine procedures and provide quality assurance for Queensland's system of assessment in the senior phase of learning; develop and administer procedures for student certification, including the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and the Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement (QCIA); maintain student accounts (records of achievements); and register and support schools to deliver vocational education and training (VET) in schools.
